Come one, come all to explore Kelleys Island's biodiveristy!
Earth Day 2020 will be the backdrop for an exploration of the bioidiversity of Kelleys Island through a BioBlitz.
What's a BioBlitz? A BioBlitz is a rapid assessment of species living in an area and can document the biodiversity in an area. This is the 5th year that a BioBlitz has been held on Kelleys Island and we are building a database of species. Check out our latest tallies on the BioBlitz Data page!
WE NEED YOUR HELP! A BioBlitz needs volunteers to gather data by collecting samples and identifying species. We will have experts to help with the finer points of species identification.
Let us know you want to spend a day exploring your Great Lake's ecosystem!
